The
Montana Motor Carriers Association has scheduled five Accident/Incident
Investigation & Prevention Seminars across Montana in May 2001. The seminars
are presented in partnership with SafeTrac Solutions, Inc. The presenter will be
Dennis W Greany, Senior Safety Consultant for SafeTrac Solutions. The
seminars will review the reasons for proper accident investigation, the
individual elements of an investigation, claims mitigation techniques and
accident prevention strategies.
Additionally, remote accident monitoring techniques and strategies will be reviewed for companies who experience accidents that are distant from company offices or terminals and must rely on third parties to conduct the actual investigation.
Elements of the Seminar will include:

Benefits of quality accident investigation.

Getting the necessary information.

Conducting a thorough accident scene investigation.

Interviewing drivers (employees) and witnesses.

Long-distance accident investigation administration.
-
Analyzing accident data (information).
-
Using accident information for prevention strategies.

Use of Review Boards in the prevention process.

Questions and Answers.
Seminar Description:
The seminar is a full-day seminar which will begin at 8:30 am and dismiss at 4:30 pm. Lunch will be served at 12:00 pm and is included in the price of the seminar.
Cost of the seminar is $175.00 per person for MMCA members.
$225.00 per person for non-members.
A minimum of 20 persons need to be registered or the seminar may be cancelled. An Accident Manual and numerous related handouts will be provided to the participants.
