A great friend and tireless
figure in the trucking industry passed away on August 10th, 2002.
Mike McCombs was Vice President of Safety for Great West
Casualty Insurance Company and Secretary of the Professional Truck Driver
Institute.
A long-time safety supporter for the industry, Mike was
involved in a vast number of safety initiatives over his career. Known industry
wide for his dedication to safety and his ever present sense of humor, Mike will
be greatly missed.
Mike is survived by his wife, Maxine, 4 children and 6
grandchildren. His funeral was held August 17th at Star, Idaho. Mike, at the
young age of 50, died of a
massive coronary heart attack while bicycling with family.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of Mike's family and
all of his friends who will miss him so much. So long my friend.
